Meet our tireless volunteers! Each board member of the Kleefeld Recreation Association wears many different hats and is always ready to step in where needed.
We are always interested in your input to better our community. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions, comments, or concerns at email@example.com.
The KRA board meets monthly from September to June. All meetings are open to the public. If you have an item for discussion, please contact President Rosie Winter one week in advance to the meeting to be included on the agenda. Our next meeting can be found on our event calendar.

My passion is building family and community. I love seeing Kleefeld come together for events and to support one another.
I LOVE the other KRA board members! We have a blast and are like-minded and passionate when it comes to building a strong, vibrant and thriving community.
Some fun facts about me: I really LOVE coffee…so much…too much. And despite my last name, winter is not my favorite season, but I do travel well to sunny locations! I also take great pride in my ability to keep my kids alive all these years :).

Veronica EnglishVP & Kleefeld School Liaison
I am a teacher by trade and a mother of three young children – both positions which demand well developed organizational skills!
KRA meeting nights with other adults are a highlight for me. I am excited for our 5 year plan for the park, but even more excited to bring new experiences to this town. I love to plan events and am quick to jump on new ideas that will benefit the community.
I am good at executing plans and getting stuff done, as long it all happens before my early bedtime!

My goal for the KRA is for us to provide a strong sense of community to Kleefeld. I want people to be proud of where they live and to feel safe and cared for.
Besides being on the KRA I am heavily involved in the Kleefeld baseball program and the Grunthal Caring Hands Food Bank board. My husband has been on the Kleefeld Fire Department for 26 years so community has always been a big part of our lives.
I am fluent in 2 languages – English & Sarcasm. I am a task oriented individual and I have trouble resting before a job is done.
“You cannot control other people’s actions, but you can control your own. Be kind.“
I thoroughly enjoy working with a team of people to accomplish common goals. I have sat on many different committees through sports, church, school and 4-H.
I want Kleefeld to be a place people are proud to be from. Where people enjoy hanging out at their park and attending community events. Where people have a sense of belonging and relationship.
I’m nuts about organization and coffee.
I like to dream a lot, especially when it comes to the KRA and what we could accomplish as a team – then the reality of our budget hits.
Despite my love of checking off a to-do list, I am easily distracted by sunshine or a crackling bonfire (as any good Manitoban should be – am I right?).
“Progress: You may not be where you want to be BUT you’re not where you used to be”
As Councillor my desire is to inspire and develop intentional community building initiatives. I’m proud to be the Kleefeld RM representative and equally proud of the selfless, community serving, members of the KRA. I have found their passion for our park and community encouraging and contagious. Contact them or volunteer and you’ll see what I mean.
Through my life long occupation as a farmer I’ve learned to be hands on with projects. A few of my hobbies are construction work, hockey and baseball – even though at this time in my life I have to hit a double to get a single in baseball and an oxygen tank would be appreciated at 2nd base. I also enjoy camping with my wife Alvira and our 4 adult children. God has blessed me immeasurably and I feel a strong sense of duty to help others throughout this community.
I can sleep on windy nights.
